‘Affordable’ Brisbane River acreage hits the market

59 President Circle, Karalee boasts resort style living by the Brisbane River for an affordable price.

A RARE riverfront acreage has come on the market for the first time, offering buyers an affordable chance to live on the Brisbane River just 40 minutes away from the CBD.

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom home on 5090sq m at 59 President Circle, Karalee, offers buyers resort-style living with panoramic views of the Brisbane River.

According to PropTrack, the median house price for Karalee between July 2022 to June 2023 is $885,000, up 5.4%.

Property agent Carrie Bischoff from Place Karalee said the home allowed buyers to get a riverfront property at a reasonable price point.

“It’s the perfect entertainer set over two levels of living,” Ms Bischoff said. Everything is of giant proportions and captures that river view.

“The property needs a little bit of love,” she said. Once buyers polish it up a bit, they will be set in a flood-free home and can capitalise on it. On the other hand, buyers wouldn’t have to do anything to it if they didn’t want to.

“This home is on one of the best streets in Karalee. We’re seeing these types of homes change hands and renovations start.

“When we meet with buyers, they’re blown away with what value their money can buy them,” she said. “We’ve got more schools, educational facilities on our doorsteps than most of Brisbane offers without travelling the distance.”

Ms Bischoff said her area was performing very well at the moment.

“The beauty about our area is we often encounter inner-Brisbane-based buyers who have never been to our area,” she said. “We see it as a little bit of a sleeping giant. “They aren’t cookie-cutter homes either, and they’re a nice mix of different kinds of properties.

“It’s like a different soil over here, and you can see it immediately in the foliage and the lovely half-acre parcels. It sets a different lifestyle for buyers and gives them different options than what they might get closer to the city.”
