The man who bankrolled world champion boxers Tim Tszyu and Jeff Horn has thrown his multi-million dollar properties into the ring.

ARC Sports Management CEO Steve Scanlan and his wife Vanessa have listed two Brisbane properties after finding their real estate unicorn — a luxury home with an ideal design for their blended family of four children aged 1 to 13.

The couple only purchased the properties in Camp Hill and Carina Heights last year, but are selling up after falling in love with a Balmoral showstopper.

Mr Scanlan, a former professional rugby league player turned recruitment entrepreneur, was Horn’s major sponsor when he went down in boxing history for his thrilling world-title defeat of Manny Pacquiao in 2017.

He has backed Tszyu since 2020, when the young gun took down Horn in an all-Aussie showdown, and also manages rising star Liam Wilson and Commonwealth Games silver medallist Joe Goodall, who is fresh from a big win over Stephan Shaw in the US last weekend.

Mr Scanlan, who owns several companies including Technology People Group, is selling an 810 sqm Camp Hill block, as well as the family’s current home at Carina Heights, after splashing $3.95m on the Balmoral Hill property.

“When I stumbled across this property at Balmoral, I was like, ‘this is incredible. It provides my kids with everything they need, and is actually really similar to what we were going to build’,” he said.

“We only went and saw it once and my wife wasn’t too keen. But interest rates went up the day before the auction and I had a feeling we might be able to get it for a steal so I balled up to the auction and bought this house.”

Features include generous living spaces, an internal lift, and a spacious floorplan with bedrooms all on one level, while the home also has a rooftop terrace, pool, barbecue deck, wine cellar and four-car garage.

The Scanlans had planned an architectural build for the site at Camp Hill, acquired in 2022, and purchased the picture-perfect Hamptons-style home on a 615 sqm lot on Macalister St, Carina Heights a few months later, intending to hold it until their new place took shape.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom Carina Heights house is for sale for $3m, while the Camp Hill pad will go under the hammer on July 29.

Both are jointly marketed by Patrick Ivey, of Harcourts Prestige, and Ben Cannon, of McGrath Bulimba.

Mr Ivey described the listings as “two golden pieces of real estate.”

He said the near-new two-storey house on Macalister St offered stunning city views with high-end finishes throughout including coffered ceilings, Herringbone floors, an integrated gas fireplace and outdoor kitchen and pool, as well as a granny flat.
