Horse lovers can go for gold at a one-of-a-kind Burbank property comprising a renowned equestrian training facility and an opulent home that has doubled as a film set.
The 2ha estate housing Oakridge Stables is owned by dressage identity Lauren George and listed for sale with a $6.5 million negotiable price tag.
Marketing agent Gok Siva said the facility was the closest indoor dressage arena to Brisbane city, and was ideally suited to horse trainers or riders with their sights on the 2032 Games.
The estate’s five-bedroom, four-bathroom residence, known as Camelot House, is set behind Buckingham Palace-inspired gates, and has been decorated in eclectic style.
Features include marble floors, chandeliers, British royal wallpaper and gold friezes, while there’s a Hamptons-inspired kitchen with Italian marble pizza oven, stone tiled bathroom with brass freestanding bathtub, and a games room with black-and-white tiles and a full-size bar.
Designed to host gatherings large and small, the home’s al fresco area is a nod to Versace, with a Medusa feature in the mosaic-tiled pool which is flanked by Romanesque statues.
The property can be hired for functions or shoots, and featured in the 2021 romantic film, Love in Bloom.
“We have had interest not only from interstate, in Victoria and NSW, but also internationally from France and the USA,” Mr Siva said.
“It’s a great facility for a rider or trainer targeting the Brisbane Olympics or Paralympics, and I think it would be a fairy tale ending to see an Australian win gold at equestrian in 2032 from this property.”
Newly constructed infrastructure at the elite training centre include the 70x30m dressage arena equipped with sound and video, lights and sprinklers, horse walker and treadmill, 8 stables and 7 walkout yards, barns, grass paddocks, wash bays and work sheds.
“The best ideas and designs have been brought together with the latest technology to create a state-of-the-art facility which has won countless trophies and titles.”
The estate has been the breeding and training site for champion dressage warmbloods such as Bernstein, Bertone, Quincy and Davinci L.

The Brisbane Showgrounds will be the home of equestrian events for the 2032 Olympics, while Victoria Park will host cross country events.
Mr Siva said the owner had decided to downsize as she was frequently travelling abroad.
“Obviously this is not a lock up and leave property. It requires maintenance, it requires staff, and she is on her own now,” he said.
