A COMPETITIVE auction in Brisbane’s inner north has sold under the hammer for $1.48m.

The 1932 character two-bedroom, one-bathroom home at 12 Lanham Ave, Grange headed to the auction for the first time since the home was built on Saturday August 19.

12 Lanham Ave, Grange contains much of its original features such as traditional timber floors, VJ walls, ornate ceilings, classic fretwork and stained glass.

A total of 20 bidders registered to take part in the auction.

A large crowd gathered at 12 Lanham Ave, Grange for the auction.

Property agent Caleb Mayberry from Ray White Ascot said the result was wonderful.
“We had over 100 inspections for the property, it‘s a good outcome for the sellers,” Mr Mayberry said.
“The auction was fanatic at times.
