The judges comments were resoundingly enthusiastic about the Hamptons-style build which took out one of three major awards in Brisbane.

“It was a moving experience visiting this project. The builder created an icon on the Brisbane River for future generations to admire,” they said in a statement.

“The detail was exceptional boasting an old school craftsmanship almost forgotten.”

Corella Construction, which operates out of Bardon, has nearly 20 years building expertise and is owned by Craig and Ella Brown – a builder and accountant team.

The judges said “Jacaranda House is a shining example of what can be delivered when the owner has a vision, and the builder has the dedication to meet the vision”.

“Jacaranda House boasts a spectacular presentation that takes your breath away,” the statement said. “The builder considered the vegetation with every angle looking onto the river or Jacarandas and tennis court in the back garden.”

The home has a 57-metre-wide facade “broken into an array of dorma windows, extended patios, and glazed gable ends”. The master suite has a nursery, walk-in robe and large ensuite with freestanding Victoria and Albert bath overlooking the property.

“Jacaranda House is an entertainer’s dream with a large outside area accessible from dining, living and bedroom areas,” the Master Builders’ statement said.

“A full outdoor kitchen overlooks the pool with a built-in spa and infinity edge. What makes it so special is the alfresco sees uninterrupted views of the lawns that cascade down to the river.”

Master Builders CEO Paul Bidwell said there were winners across 53 categories in Brisbane.

“This year’s field is diverse, from stunning renovations and beautiful new builds to important community facilities like education and sports facilities to a shopping village and brewery – there’s really nothing Master Builders can’t accomplish. “I am immensely proud of our Brisbane builders, tradies and everyone who is part of what makes this industry so great.”
